Founded in San Francisco in 2016, Shimmytown seeks to spark innovation in the Bay Area swing dance scene while celebrating swing jazz in its natural environment. It has been shaking things up ever since!
Shimmytown is owned and operated by Ann Mony. She has been teaching lindy hop since 2004 and organizing swing events in San Francisco since 2011. She holds titles from events such as the International Lindy Hop Championships and is known for her uniquely playful performances. Her dance partner is Ryan Calloway, and together they travel the world to share their love for lindy hop. You can follow along at ryanandann.com.
